I'm afraid I'm going to be a wet blanket again.
I really don't see any role for the State Library in "slamming the boards". Quite frankly, we are stretched to manage our existing services, without adding yet another one.
With the news of yet another budget cut this year, I think that trying to do more with less is a recipe for disillusionment.
Sorry to be so down on this one.

I imagine our participation on answerboards would be more of a marketing exercise ... regularly answering suitable questions with good quality responses and a signature line that says 'get more answers at the library' or 'ask a librarian' with a link to our website.
